In the 1961, Yukis grand father, Mr. Haruo Sugimoto, found an abnormal Asplenium in Yaku-Island, Kagoshima Prefecture.
Its leaves had many strong waves and deep yellowish green color. He brought it to his green house and tried make propagation with keeping the feature of its strong waves, but without success for many years. More than 30 years later (1994), Sugimoto Shinryu-en succeeded to fix the waving feature.
